Maggie and I went to an old school house in Virginia City that was open from 1876-1939! The students were in grades 1-12...all in one small building. We sat in the desks, wore the dunce hat, pretended what it must be like to be a student or teach there and we even got to ring the bell like Miss Wilder in Little House on the Prairie!
Thank you for visiting my blog! I am a BIG Dick and Jane fan! Sadly, my blog was a custom design, so there isn't a kit available. Shannon, my blog designer, has a link on the sidebar of my blog. Her business is called Eight Crazy and she can make a header or a whole blog design in just about any theme you can dream up, or she also has several pre-done blog designs for sale.....just in case you were interested :)!
I graduated from Southwest Texas State University with a B.S. in Education. I've taught both private and public school for 20 years. I was an active neighborhood parent at Mark Twain (now my daughter is starting middle school at Pin Oak!)...and am proud to teach there, too! I am excited about providing a challenging inquiry based experience as well as creating a caring, reflective and supportive classroom community.
