The day of our holiday party (December 18th) will be a lot of fun! To make it even more special... that morning 1st grade will be watching the movie, Polar Express. I will be serving hot chocolate with marshmallows! The kids are invited to wear their pajamas and bring their sleeping bags, pillows, 1 stuffed animal and a favorite book to read. I will wear mine...minus the sleeping bag! There will be no napping for Mrs. Phillips that day!

I graduated from Southwest Texas State University with a B.S. in Education. I've taught both private and public school for 20 years. I was an active neighborhood parent at Mark Twain (now my daughter is starting middle school at Pin Oak!)...and am proud to teach there, too! I am excited about providing a challenging inquiry based experience as well as creating a caring, reflective and supportive classroom community.
