Today we watched the inauguration on TV and ate our lunches in the classroom. As soon as President Obama was sworn in we ceremoniously took down our picture on the wall of President Bush and replaced it with a temporary picture from our Scholastic News. Hopefully, with all the letters we wrote to the president this morning...we will get a better one soon!
I graduated from Southwest Texas State University with a B.S. in Education. I've taught both private and public school for 20 years. I was an active neighborhood parent at Mark Twain (now my daughter is starting middle school at Pin Oak!)...and am proud to teach there, too! I am excited about providing a challenging inquiry based experience as well as creating a caring, reflective and supportive classroom community.
