By playing Two-Fisted Penny Addition, you are helping your child learn the basic addition facts. Later on, these basic facts will be useful when your child solves more difficult addition and subtraction problems mentally. We worked on the sum of 10...kinda tricky at first but I think they finally got it!
I graduated from Southwest Texas State University with a B.S. in Education. I've taught both private and public school for 20 years. I was an active neighborhood parent at Mark Twain (now my daughter is starting middle school at Pin Oak!)...and am proud to teach there, too! I am excited about providing a challenging inquiry based experience as well as creating a caring, reflective and supportive classroom community.
