Does anyone have the Newbery Honor Book, Because of Winn Dixie? I would like this to be our next teacher read-aloud. I love this author and now is a great time to introduce Kate DiCamillo. She is going to be at Pershing Middle School next Sunday, October 18th at 2:30pm!! She will be giving a presentation promoting her new book, The Magician's Elephant and a book signing/sale will be held afterwards. UPDATE: The book has been found!Saturday, October 10, 2009

I have it somewhere in the house. Let me try to find it. Cate loved all her Mercy Watson books.
Maggie loved Mercy, too. Her favorite was Edward Tulane's Miraculous Journey. If you find it let me know. My phone number is listed under Maggie or send me an email. I will gladly buy it Sunday night if no one already has it. I end up reading it every year...good book for 1st graders. Thanks for looking.
