Today we did a lovely experiment using vinegar and baking soda to show one way a gas can be formed. We know that gases are formed many different ways and that we often cannot see them. They were amazed to see the baggie "blow up" with gas when the vinegar and baking soda were mixed together! Try it at home...
I graduated from Southwest Texas State University with a B.S. in Education. I've taught both private and public school for 20 years. I was an active neighborhood parent at Mark Twain (now my daughter is starting middle school at Pin Oak!)...and am proud to teach there, too! I am excited about providing a challenging inquiry based experience as well as creating a caring, reflective and supportive classroom community.
