Today we played an Everyday Math game to learn about writing tallies. In 1st grade 5 tally marks are called a "gate" and 2 gates are circled to make a "corral." This helps to count the tallies and reinforces counting by 5's and 10's. What are some ways you can tally at home?Tuesday, September 2, 2008
